Clifford L. Granger, Jr.
Cliff is the president of Clifford L. Granger, Jr., P.C.. His practice areas include criminal defense, DUI defense, juvenile offenses and bonding matters. Cliff currently serves as an Associate Judge in the Municipal Court of Smyrna, Georgia.
Cliff was born in Newnan, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia and obtained his Bachelor of Arts (with honors) in Criminal Justice in 1978. He received his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University, School of Law in 1987. Cliff was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1989.
Prior to starting his own private practice, Cliff served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1987 to 1989 (Bank Robbery/Fugitive Squad in Newark, New Jersey) and as a prosecutor in the Office of the Solicitor General of Cobb County from 1990 to 1998. There he was selected Prosecutor of the Year in 1993. He served as Chief Assistant Solicitor General under Patrick H. Head. In addition to his duties as prosecutor, Cliff served as an instructor at the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy and the Cobb County Public Safety and Police Training Center. He also served as an instructor at the Basic Prosecutor Course and the Prosecutor’s DUI/Vehicular Homicide Course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Georgia. Cliff sits as a Judge, Pro Hac Vice in the State Court of Cobb County.
He is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb County Bar Association and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In addition to the Georgia Bar, Cliff has been admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia. Cliff lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife Claudia and dogs Macie and Buckshot.
